Every working dog-parent knows the feeling you get when you head out the door on Monday
morning or on a vacation with your bags packed and those sad brown eyes stare back at you from the other side of the window; "where are you going, why are you leaving me
behind?" Oh, the guilt!
Our home has shared its roof with dogs for over 15 years and 13 years ago, like many others planning their first dog-less holiday, we were faced with the daunting challenge of trying to find a kennel that would meet our standards; none did! After many weeks of beating the bushes to no avail, a co-worker recommended Nadine from Durham House and Pet Sitting. Nadine conducted a pre-visit with our beautiful Golden's and left us with no doubt that with her assistance our girls would be able to stay safe and stress-free in their own home for the duration of our holiday.
Years have passed since that first visit and our girls have sadly left us but 2 new rambunctious boys have moved in. Given that it had been many years since we had "youngsters" in our home we did not want to test how long they could "hold it" while we were at work so again we called Nadine to see if she would facilitate midday bathroom breaks. The puppy stage has long since passed but we just couldn't imagine discontinuing Nadine's visits. Her flexibility, reliability and genuine love of animals means that we can leave the house every morning knowing that our dogs never have to "hold it" for 9 hours and even if they just decide to play when she visits, we have the added comfort of knowing that any opportunistic burglars looking for owner-absent homes knows that our home is never left unattended.
So, if you are looking for the best and most reliable pet or house sitter; we can, without hesitation, recommend the services of Durham House and Pet Sitters.
